　　abandon 指完全、永遠(yuǎn)地放棄,尤指對之負(fù)有責(zé)任或義務(wù)者,放棄一個項(xiàng)目或計劃

　　desert 強(qiáng)調(diào)故意違背自己的義務(wù)、責(zé)任或誓言等

　　forsake 指遺棄以前所愛的'人或事物,著重于斷絕情感上的依戀 eg.forsake ones wife and children遺棄妻兒;forsake bad habits擯棄壞習(xí)慣

　　quit 指突然或出其不意地放棄,現(xiàn)一般指停止 eg.quit work停止工作 exercises:
